Research Use Policy.
This Policy establishes the conditions under which Xtenvia products may be purchased, received, handled, and used for legitimate laboratory research.
Every Xtenvia product is sold exclusively for legitimate laboratory research.
Purchase or possession does not authorize administration, consumption, clinical application, compounding, or any other use outside the product’s stated research purpose.
Purpose and scope
This Research Use Policy (“Policy”) applies to all products offered by Xtenvia and to every visitor, account holder, purchaser, recipient, laboratory, institution, reseller, and organization interacting with those products. It supplements our Terms and Conditions, RUO Disclaimer, and other published policies.
The purpose of this Policy is to communicate clear purchasing and use restrictions, support responsible research practices, and prevent diversion into personal, diagnostic, therapeutic, clinical, veterinary, household, or other unauthorized applications.
Purchaser eligibility
Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, have legal capacity to contract, and be authorized to acquire research materials in their jurisdiction. Products may be purchased only by individuals or organizations with the knowledge, qualifications, facilities, equipment, procedures, and lawful purpose appropriate for laboratory research.
If purchasing for an institution, company, laboratory, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to act for that organization and that the organization accepts this Policy. Xtenvia may request reasonable information concerning identity, age, organization, intended research purpose, qualifications, location, or authority to purchase.
Acceptance of an order does not constitute an endorsement or certification of a purchaser’s project, qualifications, facility, protocol, or legal status.
Permitted research use
Xtenvia products may be acquired and used solely for lawful, controlled, non-clinical laboratory research by appropriately qualified personnel. The purchaser is responsible for independently assessing the suitability of a product for a particular research objective and for establishing appropriate institutional protocols.
Any examples, references, product descriptions, publications, or documentation available through Xtenvia are informational and do not expand the authorized use of a product beyond laboratory research.
Strictly prohibited uses
Xtenvia products must not be used, promoted, supplied, prepared, or represented for:
- Human or veterinary consumption, injection, ingestion, inhalation, topical application, implantation, or administration by any route.
- Diagnosis, treatment, mitigation, cure, or prevention of any disease, condition, symptom, or health objective.
- Clinical trials, clinical practice, patient care, self-experimentation, wellness programs, telehealth, or personal use without all legally required authorization and Xtenvia’s express written approval.
- Compounding, manufacturing, preparation, or incorporation into any drug, biologic, medical device, dietary supplement, food, beverage, cosmetic, or household product.
- Use in animals, food-producing species, animal feed, veterinary practice, or agricultural applications.
- Any advertising, relabeling, instruction, testimonial, or representation suggesting medical, therapeutic, dosage, administration, or personal-use suitability.
- Any unlawful, unsafe, deceptive, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
Labels such as “Research Use Only” must not be removed, obscured, contradicted, or used as a means to disguise an intended non-research use.
Purchaser responsibilities
Before ordering or using a product, the purchaser is solely responsible for:
- Determining whether acquisition, possession, import, shipment, handling, storage, transfer, and research use are lawful.
- Reviewing available product labels, lot information, documentation, and safety information.
- Conducting an independent risk assessment and establishing appropriate written procedures.
- Providing suitable facilities, engineering controls, personal protective equipment, training, supervision, and emergency procedures.
- Restricting access to authorized personnel and maintaining accurate inventory, custody, and research records.
- Preventing contamination, diversion, theft, unauthorized access, and environmental release.
- Using qualified waste services and compliant disposal procedures.
Xtenvia does not design research protocols, provide dosing or administration instructions, determine regulatory status for a purchaser, or replace the purchaser’s scientific, safety, legal, or institutional review.
Handling, storage, and documentation
Products must remain clearly identified and be handled and stored according to the product label, applicable documentation, the purchaser’s validated procedures, and all governing requirements. The purchaser must evaluate storage conditions, stability, compatibility, hazards, and controls appropriate to the specific material and research process.
Certificates, reports, or batch documentation relate only to the lot identified and must not be altered or attributed to another product or lot. Product documentation is not a substitute for independent verification where a research protocol, institution, regulator, or quality system requires additional testing.
If packaging is damaged, identification is uncertain, temperature or custody conditions appear compromised, or a product is suspected to be contaminated or diverted, isolate the material and contact Xtenvia before further handling.
Transfer, resale, and distribution
You may not resell, redistribute, relabel, repackage, export, transfer, or supply Xtenvia products to another party in a manner that violates law, removes research-use restrictions, misrepresents origin or documentation, or facilitates a prohibited use.
Any permitted business transfer requires the transferring party to conduct appropriate due diligence, preserve labels and lot traceability, communicate all restrictions, and ensure the recipient is qualified and legally authorized. Xtenvia may restrict resale or require prior written approval for certain products, quantities, destinations, or account types.
No purchaser or reseller may use Xtenvia branding, documentation, images, or product information to imply an agency relationship, medical endorsement, regulatory approval, or authorization for human or veterinary use.
Incident and concern reporting
Notify Xtenvia promptly if you become aware of suspected diversion, unauthorized administration, mislabeled or tampered product, material packaging damage, documentation discrepancy, security incident, or other concern involving an Xtenvia product. Provide available order, lot, packaging, photographic, shipping, and contact information needed for a reasonable review.
Reporting a concern does not replace emergency response, institutional reporting, poison-control consultation, medical attention, law-enforcement notification, or regulatory reporting where those actions are appropriate or legally required.
Verification and enforcement
Xtenvia may review account and order information, request purchaser verification, ask for clarification of intended research use, limit quantities, restrict products or destinations, place orders on hold, cancel transactions, suspend accounts, refuse future service, or take other reasonable measures to enforce this Policy.
We may preserve and disclose relevant information to payment providers, carriers, professional advisers, regulators, or authorities when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, investigate suspected misconduct, protect legal rights, or comply with law. Any such handling of personal information is subject to our Privacy Policy.
A violation may result in immediate termination of the purchasing relationship and may be reported where required or reasonably appropriate. Xtenvia’s decision not to enforce a provision in one instance is not a waiver.
Policy updates and precedence
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in products, operations, risk controls, or applicable requirements. The current version will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued access or purchasing after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
If this Policy conflicts with a product-specific written restriction, the more protective restriction applies. If it conflicts with applicable law, the applicable law controls and the remaining provisions continue in effect.
